Looking back to the years that have passed I can’t help but notice how fast everything changes … I mean take Mario for instance, have you ever got bored of that game? Tetris? Pong? Or how many patches did the old Prince of Persia had? Still I used to play them on and on … I’m just saying this because somewhat we all ended up being a bunch of gaming consumers which don’t really have the time to enjoy the game because something new is out before you ever get to finish (if anyone could ever finish a game such as Warcraft) and after all this what games should do … Like END at some point, right? No? OK!
Now let us speak of the first expansion for those of you who don’t know twas called “The Burning Crusade” and it follows the adventure of the heroes through Draenor (the ancient homeworld of the orcs) while they hunt the elusive Illidan Stormrage and the remnants of the malevolent Burning Legion. Two more races join the battle at this point: The Blood Elves siding with the Horde and The Draenei for the Alliance, now please let us welcome their majestic entry in a proper (by savoring the good old cinematic …)
As the story progresses and the heroes fight on they finally reach their goal … The Black Temple where Illidan Stormrage made his home after he defeated the previous shadow lord, Magtheridon. However one of his lieutenants is about to betray his master …
Patch 2.1 – The Black Temple
Soon after the fall of the Temple and the defeat of Illidan a relative peace began to reign in Outland for the Legion had left, where to was not known at this point so the heroes returned to their home where they found another threat stirring … In the Ghostlands of Quel’Thalas the Amani trolls stood up defiantly and challenged everyone that has ever mistreated them … Led by their warlord, Zul’Jin, they promised alliance and horde alike.
Patch 2.3 – The Gods of Zul’Aman
After the fall of Zul’Jin and the Amani Trolls a strange rumor surfaced that spoke of the return home of Kael’Thas, Prince of the Blood Elves. People soon found out that this was true, but he was not the same anymore and it would appear that he didn’t come alone. An ancient evil arose up north in the Isle of Quel’Danas where the elves alongside the demons would see their beloved Sunwell restored and their powers regained through it.
Patch 2.4 Fury of the Sunwell
And this is how the story ended … Kael’Thas and Kil’Jaden defeated, the Sunwell restored, and the heroes thought that they were finally free and could savor a Bottle of Pinot Noir in peace … But things were not to be over so soon, because there were still some loose ends
